What to Expect in our Emergency Rooms
Your safety is our top priority, that's why we're performing daily deep cleaning and screening all visitors and team members before entering our emergency department.
Screening before coming in
Everyone, including our doctors and staff, are screened daily for temperatures and symptoms before entering any of our buildings.
Space is safe
We’re physically distancing and have marked off space to help. The furniture is re-arranged and waiting areas have been redesigned.
No waiting appointments with electronic check-in
If you’re a returning patient, use your MyChart to check in for your appointment. Or using your phone, you can let us know when you arrive and where you’re comfortable waiting, and we’ll call you straight to your exam room.
Our entire team will be wearing a mask and we ask that you wear a mask during your visit too. Wearing a mask is for everyone’s protection.
Extra cleaning and sanitation
Hand hygiene is always essential and you’ll see plenty of sanitizer and hand washing stations being used. We are constantly cleaning surfaces throughout our facilities and have added an intensive deep cleaning process for all COVID-19 patient care areas.
Fast testing results
If you need blood drawn or x-rays, our labs and imaging areas follow the same processes for no waiting, safe space and cleaning. We are providing COVID-19 testing at our Respiratory Testing Center at 3421 Medical Park Drive. Both a provider’s order and an appointment are required for this testing.
Getting the healthcare you need is as important as ever, despite understandable new concerns about this virus that’s turned a lot of things upside down.
Your confidence in where you choose to seek healthcare is earned with practical preventions that keep you safe and everyday proof that we’re doing exactly what we say. At St. Francis Medical Center all who enter our doors are screened for symptoms and temperature upon arrival, masks are being worn by all throughout our facilities, and an intensive deep cleaning process has been added for all COVID-19 patient care areas as well as routine cleaning of all areas. This, plus many other examples are how we continue to serve our communities with excellent healthcare. Click below to see what you can expect and how we are helping you choose with confidence.
